Pyskaty - "Pysk w Pysk"

Pyskaty (Przemysław Chojnacki), rapper from Warsaw, released his first solo album "Pysk w Pysk" on October 9, 2009. At first CD didn't make it to mainstream and no one really knew who was Pyskaty. Album got its popularity after release of a video clip that was additional track for the CD. This track at first wasn't on Pyskaty's album, but later was added to CD after its re-edition of the album. In this Pyskaty invited a lot of guests to this track, in this clip besides Pyskaty you will also find Fokus, Małolat, Łona, Fu, Ten Typ Mes, Tomiko, Termanology, O.S.T.R., Ero, Eldo and The Returners . Many of them are very-well known for years on Polish rap scene. This song is like a conclusion of the Polish rap, it really tells what is hip-hop to them.


The CD by itself is a great compilation of different topics and styles. I'm sure that everyone that listens to Polish rap will find at least one song that he'll like. Some of the topics are : Death, destiny, alcoholism, hip-hop, friends and also his own "portrait". He's flow is very fast for most of the song, but you will also find more serious tracks as well. This CD is good for every occasion, you just have to find the right song to a event.

ELDO Zapiski z 1001 nocy

Eldo "Zapiski 1001 Nocy" (Notes of 1001 nights) Released on 29 June 2010 by My Music record label. The album was promoted by music video for the song Pozyc mi Pluca ("Lend Me Lungs.").

This album is a great work of the polish hip-hop elite. Combining lyrics by Eldo and beats by the returners will give you the CD that you will listen to over and over again. Lyrics side of the album is about the life in a capital of Poland as well as the personal experiences of Eldo. Eldo is mostly know from his full of thought, smart, multi-meaning and strong lyrics so you can probably find even more meanings for it. On all of the earlier CDs of Eldo, as well as in Grammatik formation that he was involved in you can find very thoughtful lyrics that will make you think more about each word he says. Also he tries to pass on some positive values to teenagers thru rap. The musical part of the CD is also one of the best suited and best finished pieces of The Returners' work. They use a lot of effects and the additional noises that are very pleasant to hear and they also make the CD flow together like it should. Zapiski 1001 nocy were nominated for a polish album of the year award. It actually didn't win but it took a second place after Tede (Glam rap) album. This is surely giving a hope for future that polish rap will be more widely known and people will come in contact with it more often.

Tede - Esende mylffon

The first album I will review will be the "Esende Mylffon" it was released on June 22nd, 2006. Esende refers to district of Polish Capital Warsaw. It is actually "Sluzew Nad Dolinka" esende comes from pronaunciation of first letters. Mylffon means just a guy, dude or bro.
This album is an effect of a cooperation with Dj Matheo and DJ buhh who wasnt know broadly yet. This Cd was a big debut as a DJ. Tede choose him from a contest that he announced 2 years before that.
There are 14 tracks on album i will describe some of them separately because the CD deserves to be described with attention to details.

1. "Wstępizzlle" -It is intro that indicated that DJ buhh was working on this project as well. Also he includes the information about the album
2. "Blask" - Blask (shine) is about the money, his BMW, friends , parties and that he doesnt care about any criticism and makes fun of them. The Shines refers to the shines of rims on his BMW 7-series.
3. "Hity Na Czasie" -  In this song Tede laughs off the seasonal stars that sell them self to be popular, sing next and next song about how he fell in love with this girl or how he got rejected. Tede explains that they will never play him in radio because people might not understand the meaning and could take this lyrics as an offense to others.
4. "Glokk" -glokk is metaphor for the microphone as a gun with which he shoots people. the meaning is that he can express his thoughts with the lyrics as the others would with the gun.
5. "Air Max Classic" - As you could tell by the title the song is about shoes that he is a fan of. it is not only about shoes but about having a passion and hobby to collect something nice that make you feel better

11. "Nic Za Darmo" - song tells that he didn't get anything for free in his life. all he have now is from what he have done. Also in refrain he shares his dreams to be in recording studio all the time, have 2 garages with forerunner and BMW.
12. "Jakby Jutra Miało Nie Być" - This song is most important for Tede on this album because he tells how improtant it is to him to live the moment and not waste the opportunities. The lyrics are very deep and also connects to the love and tells it is important to try your best to make things happen.
13. "Esende Mylffon" (gościnnie Matheo)
14. "To Jeszcze Nie Koniec" - outro song that says he is not finishing yet, but just beginning his career even tho could do it now and bee proud of the accomplishments

I would recommend this CD to anyone who like bragga rap and American rap as well, it is one of the first cds that is different from other Tede albums. i would rate it 8/10 myself because i am not a big fan of bragga rap
